55L / 3355 cu.in. A large top loading day pack with the Load Control Pocket and internal frame (2 aluminum stays)
Made in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada
A lightweight internal frame backpack for quick assaults, overnights or long day hikes with a medium weight load. Super for those who need the extra load control that comes with 2 aluminum stays in the pack panel and a padded hip belt.
It has our "Interior Load Control Pocket" - an inside pocket that allows heavy items like a water bladder or climbing hardware to be placed high and close to your body. This decreases stress on the shoulders and back. Compression straps allow you to further cinch the load.
The Eclipse Day Pack comes in 3 different frame sizes determined by the length of your back. Our interchangeable shoulder straps and hip belt come in many sizes to ensure you get a pack that fits you perfectly.

#8 & #10 YKK zippers (the best on the market)
National Moulding buckles (toughest on the market)
EVA foam in shoulder straps (high quality dense foam does not compress over time)
Each seam is sewn three times for maximum toughness
All seams and raw edges are bound so the fabric won't fray over time
Suspension System: Internal Frame
A rigid plastic framesheet / back panel with 2 parallel aluminum stays (a flat bar that is 1" wide and 1/8" thick, that runs the length of the back panel)
Stays can be removed and bent to the shape of your back for a custom fit
S-shaped shoulder straps with adjustable chest strap (5 sizes); they are single layer and 3/8" thick
Day Pack Padded Hip Belt (4 sizes) - 5/8" thick
Stabilizer straps on shoulder straps and hip belt provide adjustment and pull the load closer to your back and hips so the pack moves with you.
Comments
Anne Ostrom loves this pack for long winter hikes or snowshoe excursions. It holds all the bulky gear required to stay warm at lunch, or in an emergency situation.
